This summit will focus on the efforts being made by Connecticut's small and medium-sized towns to develop affordable and workforce housing. During this half-day conference keynote speaker Jim Himes, Connecticut’s 4th District representative, will discuss his continuing commitment to addressing the region's housing issues.
Evonne Klein, Darien’s First Selectman, and Gordon Joseloff, Westport’s First Selectman, will speak about both the shared and unique issues facing their towns and what they are doing to support the creation of affordable and workforce housing. This program will also include presentations by Stuart Adelberg, Greenwich United Way, Tim Hollister, Shipman & Goodwin, and Seila Mosquera, NeighborWorks-New Horizons. Chris Bruhl of The Business Council of Fairfield County will moderate the discussion. A Question, Answer and Comments session will end the day.
Advance registration fee for the Housing Summit is $10. Same-day or at-the-door registration is $20. Visit the SWRPA website to register online or for information on registering by mail. The Darien Town Hall located on Renshaw Road off Route 1, south of I-95 exit 11.
