Wednesday, January 21: LWV Open Meeting - Reinventing Downtown New Canaan at 1 p.m. in the Lamb Room, New Canaan Library. Join us to hear Lazlo Papp, Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and Steve Kleppin, Town Planner discuss zoning questions and the future of downtown New Canaan.
Monday, February 2: LWV Program Planning Meeting led by Cheryl Dunson, VP of Public Issues for the LWVCT, who will review and discuss the state league’s positions on a number of legislative fronts. Everyone welcome, but only members may vote on league program. 10 a.m. in the Plaut Room at the New Canaan Library.
Wednesday, March 18: Open Meeting – Dr. David Abbey, Superintendent of New Canaan Public Schools, will discuss standards used in evaluating “No Child Left Behind” at 12:45 at the Lapham Center. To make a reservation for lunch at noon, call 594-3620 by Monday, March 16. Lunch is $5, $4 for those 50 years of age and older.
