What a wonderful summer I had with my family, and I hope all of you had an opportunity to enjoy these last few months as well. I return from vacation refreshed and eager to turn to league business, as do my fellow board members. We have a busy year ahead of us starting right away with our major fundraiser, the modern house tour, on Sunday, September 21. Peggy Dannemann has been working diligently throughout the summer to organize this event. After that, in this historic election year, we'll turn our attentions to our continuing efforts to inform the electorate by co-sponsoring a debate in Wilton between the candidates for the Fourth Congressional District, as well as a candidates' night in New Canaan in mid-October, featuring the candidates
for the state senate and assembly. Once the elections are behind us, our monthly programs will resume, starting with a timely panel discussion of the state of real estate in New Canaan on November 19. We'll end the calendar year with our holiday revue and luncheon - sure to be a hit once again! I want to thank all the board members who have been working throughout the summer to set all the above mentioned events in motion.
