Report on Candidates' Night

The Candidates' Debate sponsored by the LWV and the New Canaan Advertiser was held on October 25th at the Lapham Community Center. It was highly successful with an SRO crowd of some 130 people including high school students, seniors and everyone in between. John Kovach, Editor of the New Canaan Advertiser, was thrilled with the turnout and believed it to be the largest and liveliest crowd to date for this event. Paul Sedlak videotaped the event which will air on Channel 79 starting Tuesday, October 30th for one week. Special thanks to Susan LaPerla, our excellent moderator who kept the program running on schedule, and to our expert screeners, timers and all those who helped with the great refreshments and the crowd.
